Hi end Italian lo - fi producer Biagio Ludovico Sponton returns with the new album from his much loved Slowheal project.
' Portraits' continues the slowly unfolding, long term Slowheal project, a series of immersive, end to end listens that live within the broader world of electronica, whilst somehow existing just outside of it, packing largely instrumental albums full of understated, but deeply felt emotion.
From the still life, hazy introspection of 'Lie Down' , to the breezy, upbeat colours of ' Gratitude', the hearthside warmth of 'Nights Embrace', to the gentle immersion of ' Lost Haze, and many points in between, the shades on 'Portraits' are varied and unshowily strong, whilst the palette remains full of ethereal tone throughout.
